Optivus's hardest problems begin where a basic “embed documents and retrieve the nearest chunks” demo stops being good enough.
The Senior AI Engineer will design retrieval systems that may use hybrid search, reranking, query rewriting, retrieval evaluation, and vector databases, then combine those foundations with agents, tools, structured outputs, and orchestration when a workflow requires more than question answering.
Because the company delivers production systems for clients, engineering discipline is a major part of the position. Python architecture, Docker, Postgres, CI/CD, cloud platforms, evaluation, monitoring, prompt versioning, and failure analysis are all relevant.
Optivus also explicitly values mature use of AI development tools such as Claude Code or Codex, not simply familiarity with them.
